Additional Crafts and Due Dates

Here is a picture of the cute candy cane we are also making at our upcoming activity on the 28th. The cost on this is $18. Not shown still is the wooden 10x4 black block with 'Wise Men Still Seek' him in vinyl.
There was some confusion due to a mistake on the order form for 72 hour kit order sheet. Bryn Heiner can still take orders and money for these items. We apologize for the error!

Please also remember that we would love to have your daughters come, there will be some crafts there that you do not need to sign up for, plus good food, quilting, humanitarian dolls--plenty for everyone to do!
We're excited to have a night to all get together and hope that it will be an enjoyable and relaxing night for everyone. Please pass the word along to anyone around you that you think would like to come!

Crafts

If you haven't been able to check out the display table at church, we hope this helps! Christmas Believe block is $10.00

Holiday plates for $5.00 each

A fun Christmas gumball machine made of Terra Cotta pots and a fish bowl! These are $10.00

This super simple ribbon wreath is made from foam, loops or ribbon and pins. For this project, you bring 5 small spools of your choice of ribbon (or use up all your bits and pieces) and we'll provide the foam and pins. Swapping ribbon would also be fun with this project. $5.00

This is a sample of the dolls we'll be making for our humanitarian project, and some of the things we'll need to round up to make them.

Also, not shown yet are two more christmas decorations--a 'Wise Men Still Seek Him' wooden block with a rustic star for $7.00 and a 18" beadboard candy cane with a bell and greenery for $18.00. Pictures of these soon to come.

Feel free to order this week and next for crafts, as well as for the 72 hour kit supplies (the order sheet for that should have been delivered to your house this past week.) Please contact Stephanie Hancock 245-6691 or Natalie Bates 245-0271 to order or for questions.
Thanks, this will be fun!

Announcements

We have set up this blog to make it easier for everyone to be updated on our October Activity. On Friday, Oct. 28th at 6:00 we'll be getting together to accomplish 3 things--a humanitarian project, updated 72-hour kits, and cute crafts!

For the humanitarian project we are going to be making cloth dolls to send to South America. We are currently collecting extra fabric, stuffing, yarn, and flannel to be able to put the dolls together that night. Please contact Janet Roberts or Becky Bates with any questions or donations.

Bryn Heiner is taking care of the 72 hour kits. She has put together an order sheet that you can fill out, and we will try to buy things in bulk in order to lower the price. She needs to have your order and the money by Oct. 6th, and the supplies will be there on the night of our activity to put together. There are MRE's (meals-ready-to-eat) that are shelf stable for 5-10 years that may be a good addition to your kits. The order form will be coming around with the flyers for the activity, or on the display table at church on Sundays.

We have some cute crafts to choose from that will also be on the display table--I will put pictures up of the display table as soon as possible. Contact Nicole Jones or Natalie Bates to sign up or pay for crafts.

There will be a nursery available until 9:30 that night, and we also would like to invite you to bring friends, daughters, mothers, or neighbors. At the very least, come for the soup and warm bread! :)

Thanks! Pictures to come asap.
